RETURN TO MISTY MOORINGS ============================ NAME Lake Hood Seaplane Base AI Traffic (For Aerosoft Anchorage Airport) Version 2.0 ============================ STORYLINE Lake Hood Seaplane Base (PALH) started out as two smaller lakes: Lake Hood to the west and Lake Spenard to the east. Back in the 1970s, the state began dredging out a canal in between the two to create seaplane takeoff and taxi lanes. Operating continuously and open to the public, Lake Hood is the world's busiest seaplane base, handling an average of 190 flights per day. Located next to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and three miles from downtown Anchorage, the base has an operating control tower and during the winter months the frozen lake surface is maintained for ski-equipped airplanes. This enhancement adds several seaplanes that are active at various times during the day. There are specific installation requirements that must be followed for this package to work. This edition also makes the water runways and taxiways more accessible for users with float planes and any AI Float plane models that were getting grounded and unable to move before. ============================ DESIGNER CREDITS Project Concept, Creation, Management by Brad Allen. AI Aircraft Traffic, airport parking and taxiways created and compiled by Dexter Thomas. ============================== IMPORTANT!!!
